I use my interrupt signal mostly to try and notify drivers behind me their high berms are on. If they don’t respond tho that and keep their high beams on? I grab my super duper high powered spot beam light that will make you think Jesus is returning and shine it in my mirror. They usually get the point then.

hahahahaha! I usually rotate my mirror around so it shines right back at ‘em. They usually dim their lights or pass me.

Stopped doing that years ago, ungrateful crumbums,, I never give the lights, unless they're struggling to pass. If someone gives me the lights( I rarely drove a "left lane truck"), I'd always blink the flashers twice, but I got tired of giving drivers the lights, and no acknowledgment. You wish you could take it back.

Not all trucks have a headlight interrupt button. Almost all trucks have a high beam switch or lever on the steering column.

If you don't have an interrupt switch then you still have a light switch you can turn off then on. Better nothing than the high beams. Seems like I just happen to look out the mirror at the exact same moment they hit their high beams.
Truckers used to use their lights to let others know about speed cops too. Back before CBs came around. Two quick flashes.

Flashing bright lights may cause one to drop his or her beer. Be careful out there.

They are saying thank you. The trucking industry has changed a lot since I started. It used to be more of a brotherhood. Before cell phones, if you broke down, numerous drivers, would stop, give you something to eat and a drink, and call your dispatcher and tell them you broke down and where you were. Not all drivers flash you over anymore. If I am stopped on the shoulder, they don't even have the common Courtesy to change lanes
