Well I am enjoying a Birthday lunch of an avocado BLT wrap and soggy french fries.
Wife gave me $100 to be used externally of the bills. As any money that we get I have been dumping into the general expenses.
Later the wife might get frisky. Grin

    Good!

Then maybe you can explain what an algorithm is..and why we have this new “Common Core” of math?
A simple essay should suffice. :)

That Common Core math is part of why we have: A whole bunch of young white people. Out rioting on BLM. And they say it's supposedly 'protest'? They only care about a criminal getting himself killed fighting with cops. But nothing about children getting murdered. Minds completely warped.

I need to not take 3 weeks away from this thread in the future..... I think it was near 20 pages at 100 posts per page when I started reading yesterday.

Just checked with boss. Heading out tomorrow morning sometime.
Been home for 9 days. Maybe call it 8? Did a short local run for him last saturday. A quickie. 300 miles round trip.
Had something on the truck. Shipment supposedly lost? Now working on a bracket for the belt.
    Oh well....
Nice getting home time like this.
Asked him to keep me out during the Rally. Told him the T-shirt Police are after me. I've never worn a T-shirt that says; Rally, Sturgis, or Harley Davidson on it.

The Month of Appliance H E double hockey sticks

Refrigerator broke July 4th, right when my son and his live in were on the way for the weekend.
Went to Home Depot and I said I needed the one they had on sale by Thursday.
Dude says, "That'll be Thursday next month."

I finally let my wife lead the charge, (mostly because I didn't want to go to jail), and she got what we wanted.......delivery on the 17th. Fine. The freezer portion works, but doesn't freeze, but acts as a good refrigerator.....little victories.

My wife calls on the 16th to firm up the appointment.....nope, gonna be on the 18th. Ok, fine, a couple more days won't kill us. She called again to the 17th to firm up the appointment......nope, gonna be the 28th.

I subsequently fired off a missive to the 'customer service' folks, (mostly because no one answers the phone any more) and expressed my deep disappointment......only used 1 cuss word too. Part of my memo told them that I was a truck driver and I know how long it takes to get stuff from one place to the next. I also informed them that I was 90, 150, and 240 miles from their (3) DC's.....seriously.
    No reply as of yet.

Well, it's all been good fun and we have weathered the storm in impressive fashion....particularly considering that our grandchildren (2) were scheduled to be with us this weekend. At this point, we're just living day by day out of the store. And while it's not the most economical way to live, at least we have food, cold beer and a sense of humor and survival.
But honestly, there's really no telling when we'll get our refrigerator. Looks like the first dude was right...."Thursday next month".

Then......Hazel left to take the grandchildren back to where they belong, and I went to pick up my load for tomorrow. No big deal, really....a couple of hours all in. I get back home and now my A/C unit is shot. The temperature (real feel) is 100 degrees. I have no idea how long this is gonna take......gonna need a new one for sure......kinda like we knew it was only a matter of time, but dang. Came into the house 2 hours ago and it was 82. It is now 86.

Other than that....it's been a pretty good month.
