Using every other table for social distancing.
The tables that were open, ready for use, they were leaving plates/glasses so they didn’t have to serve anyone.

 

Well.

Made it to my delivery.
Since, they want to be jerks, abbreviation is L.o’L.
That should tell you something.
Anyway, I hear, “You’re probably in the wrong spot, you see, we only get one of these loads every six months, and I don’t think it’s been that long.
See, it says payment send to SW City, Mo., that’s where you need to take it.”

Me, “No, that’s the shipper, that’s where this load came from.”
Them “Park out of the way, call your dispatcher, if it’s right, then circle and then I’ll weigh you in.”

 

My boss said he hired an older woman driver. Told me to watch out. She's cute, conservative, and single. I don't know? He trying to set me up?

So..

The load went there after all.
2 hour wait and see.
2 hour poking and prodding EVERY bit that came out.

I imagine 1 hour per hopper of continuous
stabbing with a scraper is good.
Been nicer in the cool part of day, instead of waiting 2 hours til it got hot.
I chugged most of my 64 oz crangrape, and looked like someone just soaked me down with a water hose, which would’ve been welcomed at that time.

Then I pay $60 to get rest of ick out of trailer, and there was this tiny skull that fell out looking at us, they guy rinsing the doors and I.

He looked at me quizzical.
I told him I’d been to Louisiana and was hauling shrunken heads from a voodoo queen, and shrugged.

I don’t know where he went, but I didn’t see him anymore.
Next up... soybean meal, my “weekend home” load.

Well, my truck is back from the stealership, so I gotta go in early to move all my crap outta the spare and back into my truck.

Drank coffee, ate breakfast, wrote my congressman, and hung out with Mrs Skillet. It has been a good day.
