Just looking for some reviews from other owner ops I’m looking at a 14 Great Dane flat floor reefer (since I haul lots of bulk produce on the floor) it has a carrier vector 6500 hybrid diesel over electric I have never owned or seen more then a couple of these I was curious as to how they are treating everyone or should I stay away I would like to stay with carrier since my other units are carrier and have local parts and service thank you!

Ok thank you I’ll send him a message I don’t know much about them I have a carrier 2100 and an old ultima xtc that have pretty much been bullet proof all the way up to 18,000 hrs the old 04 and 07 trailers and the floors are starting to crack all to hell lol

Here’s a decent write up on it. The only real difference between the 8500 and the 6500 is the 8590 has slightly higher capacity, more juice on the generator, and is fully hermetic not semi hermetic. It doesn’t sound bad though.

Thank you for the information I appreciate it! It looks to be a fairly solid unit

The quietness if the 8500 and 8600mt units is just amazing too
