So I just had a bit of a hair raising moment...

I-29 North in MO, start noticing traffic moving to hammer lane a ways infront of me. Disengage cruise, turn on blinker... But cant get over because of 2 4-wheelers beside me and a fast gaining hood behind them. Begin applying brakes, notice my lane is completely blocked by a man in yellow vest and waiving a flag, start down shifting, more brakes, still cant get over, more down shifting & brakes, hood moves as far over as he can get to give me room... But still not enough room for both of us. I hold my lane and continue to rapidly, but in a controlled manner, slow... Had to come to a complete stop before I was finally able to get over without hitting someone or cutting someone off. When I came to a stop I was a mear 20 feet from the man with the flag and vest. Him and another guy were changing a tire on a rig that was sticking out into the travel lane.

It all happened so fast that I didnt even have time to be scared or feel the adrenalin until I had safely gotten past it all. I had no where to go but off into the ditch which I was seriously considering, but I noticed the blockage early enough that I was confident I could stop. And even if I did go into the ditch... I probably would have lost control and hit the pillars of an over pass.

An excellent example to always anticipate disaster and look ahead thereby avoiding it. People just don't look at what is happening up ahead. Where you are going to be shortly.

There was a miscommunication on that load.
It needs to be tarped, or the customer will refuse it.

Does anyone know if there is some kind of regulation on 5th wheel handles?
I bought one of those chrome too fat or too fancy to reach under the trailer 5th wheel pullers and I could modify it to work as my new handle. I don't have skills, but I do have friends.

Not on the handle, that I know of,
Just have to be certified to do a rebuild kit

It isnt that hard to use a cutting wheel and remove the handle, then weld on the new handle.
I could do it in 5 minutes for a handshake. But only if you could see the circles. LOL
