Ruh roh. I noticed mr. Spike covers already has damage to the left front of his anteater.
Looks like he drove up onto something. Heavy scuffs, bumper crooked, road lamp missing.
That Flying J pizza boy........bad stuff.bzinger Thanks this. -
When I left Mercer I went to a carrier that requires outward facing camera that is set off by speed or sudden breaking or g force. In the year and half I've only been called out 2 times one for running a red light yeah I shouldn't of did it but I did... Other I was too close less then 1 second away.
I also have a mobile eye in the truck that beeps if I get too close or change lanes without signaling.
It's not that bad but no way I would have one facing me.
Oh I don't have any fees with mine. I have a escrow which I get back if I return all the stuff.CJndaTruck Thanks this. -
TokyoJoe Thanks this.

I read the announcement, the camera is outward facing only. If you pick your nose in front of your truck at the truck stop, that's on you.
slow.rider and roshea Thank this. -

I'm covering any inward facing camera personally. If you read the relevant pages in the safety manual it specifically states it is outward facing so if I cover up anything else I'm still in full compliance with policy.
slow.rider and mtoo Thank this. -
So not only a camera they require "mobile eye" lane departure type deal...
More power to you owner operator who put up with this nonsense... Kind of defeats the purpose of being one IMO.
I personally wouldn't meet those "requirements" with my truck.Corso1504, drvrtech77, Speed_Drums and 1 other person Thank this.
