NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman was killed when a vehicle she was riding in crashed into a parked semi-truck on an off-ramp from Interstate 40 in Donelson early Monday morning.

The crash happened on a ramp from I-40 West at the Donelson Pike exit around 3:15 a.m.

Well, you know the company that employed the driver will be sued big time. If you must park on a ramp then do it on the onramp, not the off ramp.

Same thing happened here last year, and he was parked on the ON ramp. Ran right up the back end of the trailer. Cops still cited the trucker for illegal parking. Guy was totally drunk, but with that ticket some lawyer got rich.

I have no sympathy for the driver/drivers that sleep on the ramps. Or the drivers that pull over to take a leak on the shoulder halfway down an on ramp.

The other day I saw a Prime driver pull over on the shoulder of I-80 just west of Laramie to take a leak. Didn't even have the courtesy or sense to go to the curb side of the truck, either, let alone to go off the road onto a ramp. There are lots of ######### driving trucks.

Well.....that sucks. I get annoyed at the fact that the trucker will take the blame. Never mind that driver of the car was asleep or not paying attention. I see no fault in a truck parking on the on or off ramp. If the woman didn't hit the truck, she would have hit something else.

I'm pretty sure we've had this discussion before, but I'll say it again: There's no excuse for taking a 30 minute or a 10-hour break on a ramp. Hate me if you want, but please also give me a valid reason you couldn't plan better to find a safe and legal place to park.

I don't get this communist state telling me what to do. My family fought hard for our freedoms. Just like masks (Covid 19), the nerve of this socialist government to tell me what to do and where to park, for their interpretation of the betterment of society.

NOTE: (Sorry for the woman and her loss of life, my condolences)

He's in Nashville. How many options do you have in Nashville to park? I agree trip planning is key but sometimes things happen to where you cant get to a safe haven. If it's late, going across 40, you have no options. People park so crazy at the truck stop it's sad. I personally prefer the ramps, in certain areas. Its quiet. Most of the time I sleep at the customer
