Well the grass box is off the mower. The mower pto clutch died last friday. Another pto clutch is on overnight. The box needs serious help tho. It was leaning on one side. The box had broken the floor. Now there is a piece of angle iron reenforcing where the floor had ripped the bolts out.
One more repair to the box still. The lid that dumps the grass has become religious (full of holes, holey). So I need to cut up some sheet metal and pop rivet it in place. Then it should be repaired for another 14 years. Or until it breaks some where else.
As to the pto clutch. I may have shot my own foot by removing a heat shield. Guess I need to replace the shield that was in the way anytime I needed to service the mower. I am thinking of wrapping the muffler with fiberfrax. Fiberfrax is a insulation used for the space shuttle (and boilers). Very light as well as high insulation characteristics. I can wrap it, then put a shield around it to keep squirrels from stealing it for thier nests.stuckinthemud, WesternPlains, LoSt_AgAiN and 1 other person Thank this. -

Ok.
I was asked yesterday, and I had to think about it, but I finally have an answer.
The question was, “What’s it like being a truck driver?”
I had the ‘deer in headlights’ stare and approach.
The answer is,
“Just imagine, every time you wake up, waiting in line for the restroom.”
Now, when you finally make it to the toilet, you get this guy..
This is trying to get out of the parking lot
Then you load/unload/reload.
Then, You wait for your number for a shower that afternoon.
Any questions?
“Then why do you do it?”
“That’s a good question that requires more thought.”Last edited: Jul 27, 2020

On April 3, 2015, life caught up with Bob Burns. Burns, the original drummer for the southern rock powerhouse Lynyrd Skynyrd, died in a single-car accident near Cartersville, Georgia, reports Ultimate Classic Rock. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was alone in the car, which struck a mailbox before slamming into a tree. Burns was 64.

Tennessee Land for Sale For Up To 150K And More Than 20 Acres - 35 Listings | Land and Farm
Before the riots/protests. Land and rural houses were cheaper and more plentiful. The covid didn't do much to stuff I was looking at. Ohio 130k 5 acres off a state/county highway. Now. It's ####tier. Hopefully things will become more normal.Rideandrepair, D.Tibbitt, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this. -
Covid is having millenials realise that since they have money. They can go out and buy a home and get away from the city liife with the contagion. Hence the new cost on land and homes.
Rideandrepair, D.Tibbitt, WesternPlains and 3 others Thank this.
