Right now I just have my phone plan with unlimited data. It's spotty and doesn't work well in several areas. It's one of those plans where it's technically unlimited data but it will periodically gimp your connection to almost dial up speeds if you go over 30gigs or so ? For the month .

I do have a game system and a computer with me. I can't really download anything that's one thing I miss from being at home , truck stop wifi is too slow and my wifi from my phone is spotty and hotspot is limited to 10 or 20 gigs anyway. Watching videos is extremely frustrating sometimes bc of unreliable connection speeds and me traveling to different locations so often

Just passing by and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Best you can do is go with Verizon. They have the best coverage in the USA. I don't use Pilot/Love's Wifi anymore because as you said, it's usually slow. After 5PM it becomes really congested and #### near unusable. I've found that my 4G is usually more reliable than truck stop wifi.

Cell service is generally poor over most of the non urban areas.

Best thing I've found to do is download shows to a TB external drive and watch that when cellular is crap.

I have not heard of any plans to improve coverage. Just plans to drop 3G as the move to 5G happens.

Have you looked into satellite services yet?

In answer to your question. NO Stop using so much data. Your not going to be able to do highly data intensive video with a singular phone plan. If your willing to pay, you could do multiple lines with Verizon, each line comes out to only 10$ more, at 75GB per line, throw in a couple Jetpacks at another $8 per Jetpack, 15G. For about $250 to $300, depending on your discount abilities. You could have 4 lines, 2 jetpacks, 330GB, 150GB of that tethering, all 4G.

I have 2 phones. Verizon is my primary... and then the Trash T-Mobile that brags about "better coverage"... nothing beats Verizon. Top plans for both. I try and use T-mobile when the coverage is somewhat reliable to cut my data usage on Verizon. Also just recently bought a wifi booster... am able to get internet from Love's while parked on the other side of the highway in the Petro Parking lot in Laramie Wyoming.

Oh, also bought Weboost with their antenna to boost my connection on both phones... $600.

It works. It does boost the connection and increase down/upload speeds. It doesn't do anything if you have zero bars, which is rare with Verizon.
