Trucking is always so full of surprises... hope everything goes well, sir...

Went to Atlanta last Thursday and back to TN... in my old restored vehicle... weather was ugly and raining almost all day.. But all went well... Got everything done and my vehicle is fine.. except for a little smoke coming from the headlight button on the dash panel... Had to turn the headlights off...
Got my Toyota minivan fixed on Friday... and left my Chevy Blazer at the repair shop so they can see what is going on...

Turns out that it wasn’t a lack of trucks I had to worry about, it was a lack of dock workers. Only 15 out of 40 scheduled for work showed up. I was the last one in a door and just camped out here. It’s only three hours up to my first stop Monday morning, so I’m not in a big hurry.

I talked to him on the phone this past weekend... He was so very nice to hear my rambling and venting...
He seems to be doing very well....
I am still where I have been since end of March...

Empty in Memphis. I have a pickup tomorrow and I called the broker to get the pick up info and he wanted me to pick it up today. He got a big fat NO on that,it’s already been a long night:confused:... it probably won’t be long before I go to bed :)

I woke up about a hour ago and couldn’t go back to sleep. I knew that was going to happen, but I was ready for bed when I got done yesterday.
I had another broker call just before I laid down. He was wanting me to pick up 4hrs away and deliver in the morning. I told him that I was going to bed. He said just name your price. It’s a little crazy how brokers are hurting for trucks right now.

I found out what the deal was. I have seafood listed on my insurance and the original truck that booked it didn’t. Some how it was overlooked until the last minute.
Made my pick up this morning and kicked it off awhile ago. Have 4 picks around BIRMINGHAM tomorrow then haul buggy to Nashville.
