    I talked with Swift recruiter on the phone. He said new driver will be paid 40 cents/mile, and a little over $1000/week gross, and I will receive W2 not 1099. Kindly explain. How much of that will I take home?

    I don't work for Swift, but can tell you that take home pay depends on your deductions and taxes withheld.

    Refrigerated trucking drivers usually make more per week than dry van. That is, if they're making long runs.
