    If it’s on its last legs then, yes I’d go 13. I simply find them more driveable - or versatile, than a 10.

    Not sure how the core charge would work, you might need to find a used 13 and have a reputable shop rebuild.

    I have a guy in SW Missouri that rebuilt mine that I trust. He doesn’t hold much faith in the reman units.

    I bought mine from a salvage yard with the shifter. Knocked the top off and it looked good. Guaranteed to work. $1500 exchange with my Spicer in pieces.
    Would need to know your model number but I thank I know where a transmission is for you. If the ratios are correct I will just put you two guys together. New rebuilt in a wrecked truck. It has been in his back yard for two years as he took a regular job.
