For clarification the jake was great, load was light, I'd let off the jake at 75 and bump it again at 78/79. It's the sister's on 80 so if it isn't windy then it's straight down and straight back up again.

Running numbers and I can potentially make an extra 500/wk running reefer. It's a pain, but I know there's always freight.

I do not have any personal experience with Haz Mat refer freight, but it might be something to think about. Or pharmaceuticals. Plus it might help keep you away from grocery distribution centers or frozen food warehouses. Such as Americold and the ilk

I used to pull Haz, but I'm not looking to it right now. Had 1 hell of a foulup (customer side) when I drove for Con-Way (between the CFI end and return). Picked up chemicals for Halliburton at the Port in Baytown going to PA, sealed load, got it delivered and wrong product for BOLS. Was pissed beyond belief, but fortunately was a company driver, all T's were dotted and i's were crossed.

You actually hit the nail pretty solid there bud. Most truck tires are only speed rated to around 70.

That being said: I let the old acert walk across the salt flats at the 80 MPH speed limit one calm cool morning. Was kinda surreal until I noticed the Instant MPG and my wallet smacked me and told me to knock it off.....

I was going to go with my old Scottish inner accountant was yelling at me .( foaming at the mouth) in a accent so thick I couldn't hardly make out what he was saying.... But figured the wallet smacking me was a more appropriate Loony Tunes type metaphor for this group.

That Scottish brogue is hard to type, let alone understand.
