United van lines, Allied, Mayflower - Like two-thirds of their trucks have those ridiculous things.
Are they just super rich? Am I missing out? I couldn't afford one of those things running with Landstar, even if I wanted one.
Or is there something about that type of trucking that requires a full apartment? Or is it just tradition?
Why Do moving companies have so many custom super sleepers?

It's a combination of all those things. A lot of movers stay out for months at a time, chasing the money, following an art show or museum exhibition or conventions, moving specialized equipment. They work hard and have to deal with customers bs every day. So at the end the of the day, if they can afford to have some space to relax in....go for it.

Long layovers, cheaper than a motel. Gross is typically very high. A dependable Truck is a must. Might as well live good.
