Decent people, when I was there (with Magnum so it’s been a minute) they had facilities for drivers, allowed you to park and even were ok with you dropping a trailer so long as you came back to sleep there.

Make sure you have fuel additive with you. There’s a Love’s and a Flying J in Grand Ledge, MI.

It'll be like I was back delivering in Canada again aaaye.

the brain trust in High Command no longer allows us to use such witchcraft. They've been convinced by the fuel suppliers that their fuel is safe to -25 without it. And if I freeze to death, several years of Crete's profits will be headed to my wife's bank account.

Nice place to visit. Used to pick up lumber at a place called Biewer, next door to that DC.

    Bring back memories, eh???

No additive use? Incredibly stupid!!!! Of course, at the company yard where I park, there is no way to plug my truck in. Monday morning could be interesting. I’ll do my part and treat the fuel and make sure the tanks are full.

It was 7 degrees here yesterday morning. When I got to the yard my truck was running. I was confused for a minute as I do leave keys in ignition but I lock the doors. Turns out the mechanic goes around and starts the trucks for us when it’s really cold. That’s one of those small meaningless things that I really appreciate.

On a positive note, the opti-idle starts the truck when the oil temp gets low. And will keep the engine running when the temp sensor says it's below a certain temp.

With the clearance on our drive tires my fuel cleaner gels so when it gets really cold I always add some Howes. Thankfully I’m dealing with 65 degree CA temps, hope you’re in an out quickly given the freeze you’re headed into

    supersnackbar and 650cat425 Thank this.

Due to the Covid epidemic, the drivers facilities have been replaced by

So, since the temps are going to be in the single digits...I chose to stop at the rest area 15 mi away that has indoor plumbing (didn't have the hours to make Grand Ledge) and will drop my 'nanaers in there tomorrow. The reefer is gonna have to work overtime keeping the inside of the box at 57°... wouldn't want to deliver bananacicles

Spare me the Bible quotations and theatrical religious displays, do you actually “do unto others as you would have them do unto you?” I like that mechanic’s style.
