I don't think so. I think, his lawyers will claim something on her part. You're right, we don't know the whole story, but, and as crazy as it seems, they will claim she hit him and didn't have her vehicle under control. The way 4 wheelers drive under stopped semis today, they may have a shred of a case. They don't call them "Dewey, Cheatum and Howe" for nothing.

He’s liable for much more than that. In addition to the accident he tested positive for meth, which we all know is a major league no-no in any motorized vehicle (let alone a CMV),which is a DUI charge in Indiana(remember DUI can also include drugs, not just alcohol) and since someone died in the accident that’s a possible vehicular manslaughter/homicide charge.
    He’s going to prison.
Current Indiana statues are that once you are sentenced they send you off to jail/prison immediately to start serving your sentence,no time to settle up affairs.

How are you going to tell me to calm down when SOMEONE DIED because of this driver’s incompetence? It’s stuff like this that puts truck drivers as a whole in a negative light. And Indiana doesn’t tolerate any BS like this.
And this is one of the many reasons why we see so many ambulance chasing lawyers on billboards!

The guy is 38 years old. I don't think we can blame his parents at this point. We can blame the meth, though, and maybe whoever told him just a toot would help him make it through the sleepy time.
