I’ve been on a ferry once with a spreadaxle flatbed.. the rear axle was in the water, they were building a bridge and I had the I beams, the crane was in the middle of the river on a barge.

Probably won’t do that again, had to be careful, if the boomer tripped and flipped off chain, it went in the water, never to be seen again..

I was on a ferry once, with our RV. ;)
Cape May-Lewes Ferry, it was a blast. Can't imagine what it would cost for a big truck.

Just filled up in Atlanta. Had a Light Load, from Laredo. Still hammered down, idled a bit. Maybe 6 hrs. I got 5.9 mpg, What kills it is the weight and hills, this Detroit also seems to burns over a gallon an hr. Idling. Last Truck only burned .75 gal. Same engine. Thought it might get better with new injectors. But Nooooooo. Been treating fuel with Howe’s, Used PS today. Got some Lucas for a special occasion. Hasn’t sputtered once in 8000 miles. I think I got the algae slime cleaned up. Must have been blocking a pick up tube, thought for sure it was sucking air. So many times, I’ve given things the benefit of a doubt, instead of jumping the gun. Sometimes they correct themselves, or aren’t as bad as thought. Hoping for better economy, once it’s completely broke in.

I meant to mention, Laredo Walmart had limits on purchases, drinking water, 1 gal only. Along with a hodgepodge of food items. Shelves were pretty bare. I’m guessing it’s that way in other areas across Texas, and who knows where else. Only had 1 gallon of Delvac. Good thing, that’s all I needed. Might just head back again.85 degrees sure beats freezing.
