Got my latest driver performance scorecard. In my 1st 4 months, I am almost 8300 miles above my expected YTD goal (the mileage needed for a raise). If this pace continues throughout the year(and they don't piss me off enough for me to leave), I should end 2021 in the mid 135k mile range which will put me in the $80k's for gross pay. For my 1st year back with a company, that ain't bad, mega or not.

I was just paroozing the forum's job section for my area...just being curious to see how many jobs there are. Last summer there were 7 or 8 pages. A month or so ago, there was 1 page. But I saw this add, not that I am remotely interested in working here but

Well, Peoplenet or Creaffer's IT department is doing more upgrading of the units in our trucks (not sure if our IT department actually does the work, or just are responsible for sending out messages when Peoplenet comes up with something new). They said that they were fixing the 'play while driving' feature of the safe screen(mine started working most of the time after the last update). And, they were putting the daily miles back on the safe screen as well, plus something to do with fixing how the daily hours are displayed. The only difference I saw was...a new tab to transmit my logs on the regular screen you see when you're sitting still, and...now the speed of the truck is displayed under the MPG's...yes, Peoplenet added something that my truck came equipped with as standard equipment...a speedometer(actually, Freightliners have 2 speedometers, one as a gauge, one digital). So now instead of having to take my eyes off the road and look slightly down to see how fast I am going, I can look to the right, at the Peoplenet... brilliant Einstein's at work there...

It amazes me how the ads highlight being out two weeks and getting two days off. I go out five days and get two days off every week. They need to keep up with the times.
