0800 unload appointment.
I arrive 0744, the security guard radios the sample house.
“I’m in a meeting, park the truck in the lot, I’ll let it in, after while.”

I asked the guard, how long a meeting takes, he said, he didn’t know, but it was scheduled for 0700, should been done by now.
I get in the lot, there’s 2 other trucks awaiting the meeting to be over.

I’m going to start using that, “We got you load going to Laredo. Good Pay, You want, yes?”
Me “I apologize, I’m in a meeting.”

 

Trailer is in the trailer shop. At home i sit. Abs light came on and stayed on last three days of hauling it. I don't want to get any csa points, that can be avoided. LS took 7 hours to approve work via email, so 20 hours later it still isn't in a bay. Good thing they are only 45 miles from where I live.

But I want to work. I'm bored.

 

Dang. Stevens is a breeze. "Just have them fix it and send it through shop connect."

 

Well dur to covid, they didn't want me standing there on hold on the phone.

 

The Meghan would not be so bad if I could be Harry. I could send her up to the Jersey end of the Holland Tunnel and wait at the other end with a replacement. Just saying ya know...

 

Plant manager dude.
“Well, Sir.
We know you had an 0800 appointment, but we have had issues for the last two days.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience of your wasted time, you may feel.”
....
“What do you mean, if we knew we were having issues we shouldn’t have ordered a load until it was fixed, and I don’t appreciate that tone, and my mother was a nice lady.”

“Just keep up with your hours, we'll pay something.
We should be able to get to you around 1400.”
......
“I am not, I know who my father is, thank you very much.”


I can’t take this.
I’m ordering Domino's and relaxing, again, it’s only twice this week, once costing all day and a load.
At least I didn’t book anything else, yet.
