Well equipped truck. 100 on the speedometer, two speed (probably a 5th OD) and appears to have the steer axle brake cut off. Is that the word "White" on the heater front? Fine finish coat is the
    White gray apparently.

They've cannabilized the rest areas east of Flagstaff and made them truck only.

So if you have truck salad and sandwich and a thermos, these are really nice.:cat:

    The OM is pleased.

    So.

6 hours 50 minutes in, I find, the meeting was over at 0800.
    They’re full.
In not quite 7 hours they’ve went from 100% capacity to 86%.
“What do we need, 75%?” I asked.
    79%. He said.

    So.
According to my figures, 6.75 hours gave 14%, so I need 3.25-3.5 hours more sitting. :biggrin_1square5:

Ok so I got the tank mounted on the tractor. I thought lets fill the tank and spin over the engine!
    That was the thought.
I opened the fuel shut off and the gasket on the glass bowl wont seal. I tried in vain to tighten the nut. All I got was a sleeve of diesel fuel.
Tommorrow I will remove the rubber seal and cook it in a can of boiling water. So much for starting the tractor today.

All this talk of thermos... The best thermos I ever had was an ancient Stanley that was many years older than myself. Previous to my owning it, it had been run over at least once. While it was under my ownership it was again run over, this time by a D8... Surprisingly it survived.

It did however meet its unfortunate demise one day when I had placed it on the cab of my pickup, and forgot about it. I heard it thump off the tool box, and looked in the mirror in time to see it hit the asphalt at about 60 mph. From my vantage point it didnt appear to have taken fatal damage, so I stopped and went to retrieve it. The base had apparently made first impact and was badly smashed... And thus it had cracked around the base, rupturing both the outer and inner casings. It was a very sad day because, as I came to find out, they just dont build them like that anymore.

God I sure dont miss working on that style of rim and hub... Had to take extra care when putting rims on the hub, other wise you would have a shake and vibration from hell.
