    Avoid eye contact, maintain social distancing, and remain thankful that they don't drive for my employer.

    Oh wait, you meant trash as in old hamburger wrappers and empty cups and such. For that I use the bags that the truck stops and the restaurants give me. I hook one of the handles around the seat belt latch for the passenger seat, and once the bag is full I tie it closed and throw it away in the trash can on the fuel island.

    I’m just gonna keep it real for ya. If you, or anyone else, can’t figure out how to properly dispose of trash, keep your burger flipping job. Truck driving ain’t for you.

    Not trying to be harsh, but that’s just reality.

    @Frank Speak
    Anyone working in the food industry, including burger flippers, must be clean, along with the equipment and utensils that they use. Otherwise, the health inspectors would close down the establishments in a heart beat.

    God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

    The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

    Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, all year round.

    A former employer decided that along with my regular work, i was good at recovering abandoned trucks. It’s not that hard, find the truck, drive it to destination. They sent me after a truck that the driver had been fired for the second time. When I got to the truck and opened the door, the stench knocked me backwards some 30 feet. Left the doors open for like 4 hours before I could work up the nerve to even look inside. Don’t think this guy ever dumped the trash. Seems he also had a small dog. Finally got aired out enough to take pictures of the conditions.( wish I had them, on another long gone phone, i was also worried they might infect it with a strange incurable disease.) sent them in to dispatch and then called. It seems that was part of the reason the driver was fired. Customer’s complaints about him. Was told he rarely to a shower. Told them they need to get a tow truck or I could fix the problem for $1.89. They decided that was not a good idea. That paying me way to much money plus expenses was better. Driving a truck with everything covered in garbage bags while wearing a tyvek painters suit in the summer was an unusual experience. A/C on high and windows open.
    2 nights in motels. Ran one out of hot water taking a shower. When I got to yard, I just dumped almost everything that I had with me in the trash.

    Sounds a lot like having to go pick up a Ryder or Penske rental in the middle of the summer after a sweaty work crew used it for a week. Lol!
    Our nickname for rental trucks is “armpits”.

    I recovered 2 trucks when I worked for SWIFT. That is my maximum allowable lifetime recovery quota. NEVER AGAIN! EFFING PIG STYS! I have no idea how a human being can possibly live in such filth. Those drivers should not only be banned from the industry, they should be banned from the Human Race:rolleyes:o_O

    Labrador and born&raisedintheusa Thank this.
