This was from a few months ago, picked up this pre-loaded trailer to.take to Illinois. Had to re strap the entire load and move skids around with a forklift. Thankfully nothing was too damaged

Come on. They're hardwood. They'll absolutely keep 4 tons from moving with just one strap. You don't want me to spend all day securing that do you? /s

    Right? LOL

My only question is, how can someone drop that trailer and leave that mess for another driver to clean up...that put me 3 hours behind schedule. Dispatch wouldn't tell me who the driver was. Common courtesy ain't too common anymore!!

You should have promised that you will not "talk" with him about common courtesy on company property.

Sorry I did my job and got it there. I got places to go,
    gotta go, see ya.

I do understand your frustration tho, but it's not the previous drivers responsibility any more.
Maybe the trucking company should pay you for the 3 hrs.

Like the oilfield. We used to say "When I die, I want night crew to lower me in the grave, so they can let me down one more time."

Gotta love it when people spend more time doing shortcuts than it would have taken to just do it the right way. At least you got yourself some extra dunnage lol.

Not really a hall of shame load, unless the driver was holding up the line to do all this. We recently started doing a dedicated run of coils from WA to ID. 5 coils 9k each max weight. This is the example load of an expectable tie down job. Coils 1, 3, and 5 have 3 chains and one strap, coils 2 and 4 only has 2 chains and one strap. All 3/8 g70 chains with 5400 pound rated cheap Chinese binders. They have lost their #### minds if they think I’m putting 194,000 pounds worth of securement on a 45k pound load. Taking what should be a gravy run and making it into work. 7C2BB4D2-CAAE-4229-9975-A6D578C7A2F0.png
