I got into trucking as a career because it is one of the few remaining industries where "Money talks, and BS walks."

Was 28, dead end job making 33k(which was a lot in that area) a year in a relatively small town. Fear of losing my job and not making the same income to support myself. A coworker said he had family members that were truckers and he said they lived a good life and had toys. He was pretty money savvy had a paid off house
why I listened. So after he told me that I was sold.

My folks had a small trucking outfit. They got there authority in the late 60’s. They pulled reefers, cow wagons and end dumps later on. You can’t grow up around a bunch like I did and not want to go truckin. Dad wanted me to go to college and be somebody. I bought my first truck at 21 behind his back, come rollin in the driveway like a big shot. Dad just laughed and Mama cried the rest has been one helluva ride

The first time, I was fresh out of the military and needed to keep my family fed. Ran lumber from the NW to the SW, and steel and drywall back up to the NW. Left for a few years, pushed a black and white around, eventually went to CMV Enforcement, then promoted and ran the Tactical Patrol Unit before I was medically retired at 43. Started repo'ing rigs for a buddy that owned a repo company for a few years, then went into IT. Was laid off, started driving again, and drove for a few years. Last year I went back into IT, but miss the road. I have a feeling I will back out driving within a year or two. For some reason the road has always been on my mind since I started in 84.

When I was young in my prime are used to drive trucks all the time, but now I’m older and halve more sense of course I voted for Trump and pence. . But when I’m dead and in my grave no more truck driving will I crave but on my tombstone will be seen here lies the bones of a truck driving machine.

It is possible for someone like this to pass a D.O.T. physical if all the numbers & readings are in their acceptable ranges.

Again, as mentioned earlier, this guy is at an all time risk of collapsing from a deadly heart attack or stroke.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.
