The bridges used to be 40tons IL took it upon themselves to drop it to 37ton for commercial combination vehicles back in like 2018.

NP there’s so many roads and restrictions state by state it’s hard to keep em all sorted/memorized.
I found the route back in 2018 with CFI and since I grew up around the area it stuck in my head as a good truck route due to little traffic.
Now that I’m with a company that moves stuff for customers in this area I was just curious what the fine would be for rolling over a 37ton bridge at 40 tons would be.

My thought is this should be discussed over a couple of Kentuckians; preferably around 30 years old give or take...

Brother, not even Chuck Norris has that answer. It's like asking how blind people know when to stop wiping.

But if a bridge like that existed, I'd figure it would be posted with a max per axle weight.

    "the Cairo bridge".

every state has a Cairo in it.

why do posters assume we know where they are. especially if they have no location listed.

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.

I went over that at 76K once. I was thinking F. This thing falls I'm a dead man.

The fine? For knocking down a bridge across The Mississippi? A lot.

Lmao if that bridge falls while I’m on it, it’s only going to be my problem for a short moment.
