They gave me every late load they had. I guess what her name thought i had a thing for her. yes you have to find your own way out of fargo if you quit. Took the bus. the taxi service will pick you up at the terminal the son is the one you have to keep an eye on. the father is actually a good person. here's what people need to now about north dakota people. They don't talk. they don't like outsiders. the people are taller then normal Americans. if someone in north dakota talks to you. then their not from north dakota. what ever you do. don't say crap about the oil fields. They already think that's why your there.

North Dakota natives love the revenue that came with the oilfield but hate the trash that came with it. ..I grew up there and have no desire to return again .

That’s surprising. Last time I went to North Dakota the folks at a certain Walmart in Grand Forks were very chatty. They were shocked that I had arrived early with their dry grocery delivery that day. They weren’t expecting me until the next morning around 7-7:30 am.
I had arrived at 8:30 pm in the evening,
I left the Tomah,WI Walmart DC around 9:00 am in the morning that same day!:D

No. I’ve been here 6 years and they’ve been alright by me. They aren’t perfect but when I went through orientation they were up front on everything.

Thank you for your comment. I was contacted by jb hunt, they offered me a job in my area here in S Dakota. The job I could never ever get. Its local with like 250 mile radius. I was very interested, overly I realize that now. When I called them about the job they have running this 250 mile tanker for them, I was given a different recruiter who told me, oh that tanker job has a waiting list, but... we have this regional job.. NO STOP.. no no no. I don't want to talk about that position, but sir, you need to start on this job to get that tanker job right there in the town you live. Ok, I see. Well let me know if you ever get a "real" opening in my area. Thank you. Goodbye, call ended. jb hunt advertises they have the most local jobs, etc. They don't tell you they all have waiting lists. Sorry about your disappointment at jb hunt. I do understand it though. The recruiter I talked to sounded like Col Sanders (KFC). He was funny on the phone though. I kept him talking because he was so entertaining. The second recruiter. He laughed when I turned down the regional job. He laughed like Col Sanders.. AH.. he he he he.. ha ha ha. Great.

Honestly everyone. Until the invansion over the southern border is complete you can, if unhappy, find a smaller company. I found one and went to orientation in the Owners office. Just me and the owner. "He" talked about the job, he gave me my driving test, he showed me the shop, he explained the health insurance, as well as his wife, they made my dot medical renewal appointment, and UA. He showed me the Kenworth Truck and the Trailer I would be using. He was an owner operator for 3 years after he got his Diesel Mech License, then opened his Trucking Co and Shop. He added Fuel Pumps and tanks for customers as his shop is right off the highway there. No drivers lounge, no showers, its not 24/7, all which was disappointing. He has 20-25 drivers, as some are part time, seasonal, depends. Insurance Med, Vision, $276 for me. I was hired very very quickly. Did not go through Clearinghouse for anything. They use Keep Trucking ELD. I am waiting to hear from him about the UA results, do not use tabacco, pot or drugs. I do go to brew pubs on my time off. Those are fun and the customers are not pot head, meth heads. I just take high blood pressure medication 20mgs lisinipril, so my medical card is for only 1 year. Heart sounds good, no glasses, no hearing aids needed. The route is 800 miles then empty, get another load then 800 to 950 miles, empty out, get another load, and that is the loop. I should be starting on Monday. We don't fuel at pp-let, or flying dip. You can do this too. Do not go straight to a mega. I worked for mega's in the past and those companies have too many non driving employees that come first. The drivers really come second. 90% of the time. The non driving positions, those employees think they are the company, very rude, very self centered, self righteous and "woke", and you work for them. Like the government is today. We are just taxpayers, and at megas you are just a lowly driver. God Bless you. Your trucking dreams can come true, but if this country keeps electing the people that they are? If they are allowed to win elections through lies, and fraud. Its not really going to help. They will target the guy I work for first, and a mega will get all his customers. Remember only support the party that mentions God and the Lord Jesus. One party does, the other party never does. Take care.

You can always get on with a mega. Try a smaller mom and pop trucking company.

I do not want a 1099 filing, but that might be great for you. I say go for it. Smaller companies seem better, you must remember that you are part of a tighter ship. So the team spirit is almost required, not a joined at the hip thing, but you are loyal to the group and try very hard not to disappoint.
I will not mention the company here. I don't want the added attention, for them, and we have some really, well, different people here. That might offend them. So we don't want that to happen. Its too small to recommend people that I don't know. If they had 500 or more trucks then that would be different. Take care.
