My guess is 120,000 total miles. When I started with Swift about 5 years ago, it was based on months of service not miles. If you originally committed for $3900.00, they payroll deducted $37.50 per week and matched that for the first year. If you quit after 6 months, you owed them the balance, or roughly $2,000. They would offer a no interest payment plan on the balance. I'm sure if it became delinquent beyond 120-180 days, they would send it to collections. Some companies are very aggressive. CRST for example. The best practice is to honor your contract. I believe that is what the OP is attempting to do.

Good idea! Also, keep track of any unpaid detention time, breakdown, and any other unresolved pay discrepancies. Then, if you decide to leave before the contract is up, subtract the amount of the unpaid accessory pay, etc. from their bill. Both sides should keep their promises.

I'm starting school with them on Tuesday the 1st.
    It's $7000 if you quit before your 120k miles. No pro-rated. 120k or $7k.

Sounds crazy but it is the best option for me!

Getting paid while in school and with trainer sealed the deal. Is stick it out with whomever paid for my training. They invest in me, I meet my obligation!

Ask the company, but use some tact man. Be polite. These matters must be addressed with the upmost integrity. Be a gentleman about it.

    Example:

Hi, this is Ben Taylor (no relation to Andy). I was wondering, have I fulfilled my contract to the point I can tell you bottom feeding, pond scum, absolute horror of human beings to go pound sand?

So sorry. I mustn't be old enough to recall sixties television.

Of course. And they "pair well" with a refreshing, ice-cold glass of BLOOD-RED cherry Kool-Aid®!
