I think it's too intertwined globally now that our economy will never be the same.

Wtf inflation is the word of the day.

I just need 10 years. Then you guys can have it all lol.

Short of a World War, the economy is never going to be as it was, nor the rest of the world.

And if that happens, you better have about 135 years worth of bottled water and MRE's stashed away someplace.

We're booked out until the second week of June now with awesome loads out of THE COMMUNIST STATE and loads going back that used to pay what loads leaving paid.

There were some for $9 mile today. Direct shippers, not made up.

I didn't say it was the best rate, just an example of what we're seeing out here. Plus, when you get loads like that one for $16k, it's probably something nobody wants to haul because of a high rejection rate. There are a ton of those out here that I won't touch.

What about all the boneheads who said "yep now's the time, I'ma buy me a truck with no plans for a rainy day cause it's not like rates will ever go down" .

I put people in trucks. But it's not happening until things settle down.

Right now is an awful time to buy any truck, and folks with trucks are lucky to have them.

Wait till the fuel and other cost go up. And when the rates drop the nothing eles does.
Keep making the money. Just be sure to save it!!

Those are the people whose trucks you bid on at the auction when rates go down. But don't bid too much on them because they probably need some work.

    ;)

This week was really bad. I bet DAT weekly info will show it when it comes out.
Looking at going back into hauling a skateboard.

Not for me. Over $4 per mile all miles this past week, about 1200 miles and close to 5 grand. Next week I have one run lined up to the NE for over $4 per mile, $3300 on 800 miles. I can't believe the rates I'm seeing.

Where are you running @Kenworth6969? I've heard flatbed rates are even better right now but I don't pay much attention.

    Brettj3876 and Vitkouski Thank this.
