With this being your first post on this site I'm curious as to why you felt the need to start off with this. Is this really the worst thing thats ever happened in your trucking career or did you just need to vent or find someone to agree with you?

I see your point. So far, people at truck stops has treated me fairly as a female. This particular experience was so out of left field for me. I certainly don’t look like a lot lizard and I don’t look like a homeless person. I look like a driver. I would like to be treated as one no matter how quiet I am.

Should I go to another forum as a driver?

I’m sorry you think POC is a divisive word. But it is what it is. I can’t deny who I am. I fear being “hypersensitive” to possible racism and prejudice in general a trauma reaction.

No, just curious as to whether or not this is the worst thing you have encountered as a driver, because if it is you're in for a big surprise.

Ehhhh, its some give and take, im not sure there is a "look like a driver" look. I frequently look very much as if im some hipster dude on vacation in truck stops.

And despite being quiet, speaking with assertive confidence is probably going to get you further than being silent. (That also might mark you out as being a driver better, lets face it, most drivers are loudmouth jerks)

Worst thing: someone crashed into my truck late a night. Begged me to not call cops
