Nah, I'm already getting plenty of time off now - and I only just got back on the road after home time.

I'll go crazy if I don't start driving again, soon.

If you have already taken all of the depreciation on the truck on your taxes, you probably will have to pay some taxes on the sale of the truck. Just sayin'. So you won't be surprised come next April 15.

I only had the truck for two tax years, so I think it was not yet fully depreciated. That's a three-year process I think?

But yes, I do expect that there will be taxes involved in the sale.

It is three years, and you will be paying tax on any gains.

    Update.

The truck has been decommissioned from the Crete Fleet - Peoplegarbage machine removed, Crete identifying labels, etc. Removed.

The Columbus terminal has a detailer that will clean up trucks, and I have hired them. They have work ahead of me, and expect to be finished by Saturday.

Ritchie Brothers will start processing my truck on Monday - the person I need to work with as a SC resident is on Vacation this week.

I've filled out all the paperwork needed to flip from the o/o side of Crete to the Dry van side.

Yes, I have hauled reefer for nearly six years, but it's time to try dry van, and this transition is a good time to do it.

I will need to buy a battery powered blower and a couple brooms, but that should be all I need for most cleanouts. More than that and I'll have to see how Crete wants to deal with it.

Anyone have suggestions about brand and model of leaf blowers that run on batteries?

Bonus points if they are designed to charge batteries directly off 12v receptacles.

I own all DeWalt but bought Ryobi based on the size so it would fit in side box. The DeWalt was way too big. This was 2 years ago so maybe they have a smaller one. Price may have played a role in decision as well. Think I paid $80. DeWalt was over $100.

I have used this one for the last year plus and it holds the charge well. Would highly recommend it. From Lowes

    Random thought for the day.

You know you might be a bit OCD when almost every pen you own meets the same fate...
