So.
I got a load sent to me, at 1428, delivers, at 1600, 250 miles away, I’m still in line to load, so I called like, you know this ain’t happening, right?
So now I have noon tomorrow appointment.

X1 was a bit long winded, but was/is a a pretty good guy.
You need to understand that there are people here who have a good bit of experience and it's not a bad idea to at least listen.....you might learn something.

He never bothered me, so whenever he said something I thought was off the wall I just tuned it out. It isn’t like that’s never been done before.

That stinks. I got a call from broker giving me that kind of new appointment news, so now I'm in no rush to push 690 miles tonight.

I never understood why the people who complained about him didn't just mute him. I've muted a handful and never looked back. That feature is one of the best things about TTR.

Yeah, I unloaded soybean meal, and was on the way to the house, the dude here said this load was supposed to be picked up yesterday morning.

I just nodded, and shrugged, I wasn’t even in the same state yesterday morning.

I liked him to , I admit I skipped over a few sentences in some of the longer post.

I got so I skipped over many of X1's post. Then someone would thank him for something and I had to go back and see what he posted. He was a guy that had to stop driving because of medical issues and really missed it. Those of you that consider trucking just a job may not understand that. But those of us that know we have trucking in our blood can sympathize with him.

I always liked his posts, some were entertaining, but I didn’t try and validate none of them...

Problem with x1 is, he didn't have anywhere NEAR the experience he often claimed.

People here would say, "he liked to tell tall tales, so what......he admitted to telling them"...... Except that by his own admission, the "tall tales" were "marked /lunch counter".

None of them are.

His timeline doesn't add up, it's all there in the archive for anyone who wants to chase it down. And yes, I DID have a serious problem with the guy. I don't like ############, especially when they insult my intelligence by lying about things I already know the truth about.

He claimed, in a very early post, to have spent a month in Marine Corps boot camp, and was sent home after a month because he wasn't "catching on".......for which he was "honorably discharged".

Which for someone who is deaf enough to have gone to the "state school", is complete ########. He never woulda got past the MEPS. Anyone who ever served a day in any branch could see through that one.

I'm done discussing him. This is the last time I'll ever bring up his name on the whole of TTR.

Frankly, there are people on this forum who actually DO have the experience he claimed, many times over. I DO listen to them when they speak here, and I value the wisdom they choose to share.

BTW, the Frequent Poster is still alive and well, posting on some deaf forum, is what I recently read from someone on TTR.

Sorry for the long post, but I've been carrying that and had to get rid of it.

Agree or disagree, I don't care which.

But the members of WIIS have my respect, for whatever it's worth to you.
