I am still confused by what they're talking about when they say 'pre-cool' the truck. How do you pre-cool a non-APU/EPU truck? The only way I know of is the engine, and if it's hot outside, chances are we're already driving with the a/c on...What do they think, we're driving down the road, not using our a/c and think 'oh geez, I'm stopping for the night soon, I better cool this sucker down'.

All I know that my going out of my way to save these greedy pricks one red cent is over. Marker light out at a customer, call road service to come to me and fix it...I don't care if it costs them hundreds to fix a $5 light. Scanning paperwork, unless I have to do it on a Friday evening in order to get it on this weeks check, it's scanned at a truckstop...I won't waste 1kb of data on these greedy ###-clowns. Staying out months at a time...kiss my sweaty butt, I am required to be out 21 days, on day 22, that sweaty butt better be home. I bet Duane Acklie is rolling over in his grave when he sees how they're treating drivers here now.

They also changed the ambient temp to straight idle. Truck was reading 106 and idle shutdown. 116 and it stayed on. Not sure on exact numbers..

The memo said above 90...but I have noticed that what your dash says and what the engine sensor says is sometimes different (you can see the ambient temp somewhere on the Peoplenet)

Welp americool in Dallas sucks. Was suppose to be a preload but they didn't have a trailer so when I get there they tell me it's going to be a work in. Have to come back at 4am to check in and maybe they will get me in a door late afternoon.

    Jarhed1964 and Lonesome Thank this.

I hope I'm not in the same situation tomorrow. I drop this load in the morning, then head to an ice cream plant west of them to pickup a load that is supposed to be already loaded as of this morning.

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

make sure to submit for detention if u got there in the window, I’d use the app it seems to be automatic. Got 150$ in detention with almost no time on my clock for a load I didn’t even pick up last week.

    Lonesome and Jarhed1964 Thank this.

I'll see if I can get detention. Load still shows as a preload in the system with apt time of pick up a few days ago. Sadly due to holiday, seems no one in the office can fix this.

Well, I had my 1 trouble free load for the week. After I dropped my candy load in Cherokee IA this morning, I headed over to get my preloaded ice cream load. Which is 1000+ lbs over gross, and 1200+ lbs over on the trailer at 41'. And it's a holiday, so...nobody inside to rework the load. At first they said I had to wait until tomorrow...but another guy said they would call someone in, but it's gonna be an hour or so before they get here. But, it beats trying to find somewhere to park around here, their isn't much truck parking outside the customer's lot (that doesn't have access to restroom facilities when they're closed)

Must be picking up in Le Mars. Where's your ice cream load headed? The one time I was at that ice cream plant they gave me a large Fatboy type ice cream sandwich exiting at the guard shack.

You could get the lowdown on Schuster while you're in their town.
