generally speaking i'd like to think those companies that has management like that would end up being worse safety scores.

There are not many phrases that can conjure up both deep thought as well as dirty minded thoughts, as the words think long and hard.....im hoping this all can be softened..

I've worked in jobs ranging from fast food, to telemarketing sales and a prison guard. I'll sum it up using the latter. I worked that hellacious job for over 5.5 years and can tell you that seniority doesn't mean #### if you think about it. I'd worked there 3 years before I was given a desk job and didn't want it then. Hell, I even dealt with homophobia which also affected how I was treated on the job. I came to work sick or well. I'd even come back from a heart attack and still had to walk stairs. Mind you the weather was cruel either time of the year as there was no A/C or heat at the right times. You had newbies coming in that were working positions that should've gone to someone with 10+ years of service. I kid you not. They would work a cellblock one week and then be in a guard tower the next. My point is this: It doesn't make a #### how long you're on a job and who's in charge. It can be if they like you or if they don't. You can work just as hard if not harder than the next man and they just don't give a ####. Finally I've learned that the less of a #### I give, the easier it is on me. If there are safety issues in the midst of it all, I don't mind splitting hairs to keep myself out of trouble.

I bet the prison guard gig would be the cat’s meow in Kentucky!

Not exactly sure how things work in the Kentucky Justice System. I can tell you that Texas is rough and half of the staff never really left high school. Shame to admit most of them were ex-military to boot. Now with that being said, I quit for a plethora of reasons, but not what this poster is saying. I decided on trucking as even some of the offenders were former truckers and suggested it to me. I also wasn't one for being on the hook if one of them died and I was the one to witness it. They were cruel at times and you were one suicide or stabbing away from a court case. I worked there for years and came to work sick or well but again it didn't mean ####. As adults, we should just do our jobs to the best of our ability and go home. If what you're doing no longer fits your ###### agenda, quit and find something that does. Whining about it gets you nothing but ridicule and hate. Seen it, been there and done it.
