Finding the right Company might be hard. I think a lot depends on Who’s paying the Liability. If they charge you back, they shouldn’t care. It’ll cost more to take time off. Same with own Authority. Companies that provide everything usually want to Utilize the Equipment. Good Lick finding a Trailer. Power only might just be the ticket right now. Soon UPS will be looking hard. Along with a lot of others right now. Eventually get a Trailer when possible, or you have to due to Power only drying up. Aside from Amazon, that place is booming. Not sure how Lucrative it is. The aggravation level seems very high amongst the Drivers. Seems like they’re scrambling hurrying to make it. Maybe they’re killing it, trying to make more. Hard to say. Looks like a nightmare though. Just got done dealing with them in Charlotte NC. Place was a disaster.

@HoneyBadger67 just be #### careful if you do the power only Amazon route, there are some serious horror stories regarding this, and you really won't be able to take the time off you want. One of our O/O's decided to go back out on his own late last year and started running Amazon loads, he did it for 5 months, Not uncommon to report in at 2 am, to be told your trailer won't be ready till 8 am and you almost have to stare out the windshield to be available, then they expect you to run your tail off, and as soon as you drop, they expect you to be ready to go again. When his truck broke down (complete DPF failure) and had to be towed in, they fined him for being 4 hours late with the load, despite it being beyond his control. Any late load that was not caused by the terminal, was declared to be driver fault, another time he got caught in 17 hour shutdown of 80 across Wyoming, he notified whoever, IIRC he said there was a dozen Amazon trucks parked together, when he got there, they advised all of them that they should have found alternate routes.

    I agree. ;)
No sense in sitting there all that time, I’ve seen pictures of trucks going around, maybe @Cattleman84 will show you some of the whiteout driving photos that come with driving in Wyoming.

Not sure which I despise worse, shutting down for weather or chaining, but one thing I do knew, driving off the road in a blizzard when I should have been parked sucks 100x worse, I've spent enough time in rural Wyoming

Only a few ways aroumd 80 in WY that dont add a full day... But it can be done. I used to do it all the time, but the routes that bypass 80 in WY are not for the faint of heart in the winter time...

In that first pic the snow is about 12 inches deep on the roadway and I'm pushing snow with the front bumper.

80 was shut down for a week when those pics were taken... I crossed the state twice during that time once going west and again 3 days later going east.

There's only an area of like 10 city blocks in the entire state that isn't rural....

I find it thoroughly amazing that there are currently three dozen houses on the market in the Cheyenne area priced over $1 million and a dozen over $2 million

Like I said, it'd be my luck, I'd screw up and slide off the road, I've not had the best of luck with detours in recent years

Tried leasing on with Oakley a while back but they don't like tattoos or facial hair. I think there are two Oakleys, I can never keep them straight, though.

A 160mi bounce wouldn't be near as bad as trying to get home from the lanes I'm running now.
