That is everywhere nowadays. I was told they only hired me because I had a CDL. If it had been a regular position I wouldn’t have been hired. They got in a tight spot and needed someone now so they turned their head and hired me. I don’t claim to be the best employee but I do show up and try to do my best. Well I should say I use to. I relate to that 100%. Idc if anything gets done anymore. If they want lazy then that’s what they get.

    This is why I'm self-employed.

Sad thing is most every business is ran this way. Most will never see this, till they step away.

One of the reasons too that I left EZ, was a good decision all the way around anyways. The company only lasted 2 years after I left. Sometimes my driver and my mechanic have disagreements but otherwise it’s been good......:)

I know the feeling....!! I use to drive to Jacksonville to set in meetings with CSX engineers. Drove trucks ( only guy with CDL ) operated equipment, and ran the job too. My phone would blow up with calls from corporate at csx asking questions about the job at times. But the owner who got to drinking, golfing, boating, and partying too much, got to hiring these young 22 year old boys his step daughter drug in...... then said boys would appear for the first time on the job. And instead of asking what needed to be done and how to do, they tried telling me what and how it was going to be done! So what did my big hairy hillbilly butt do...? I kept giving them extra rope, not with the owner but with csx directly. When I walked away they was shoveling more $$ out the back door with a teaspoon than was coming in the front door with a grain shovel......
