    Not just a raise!!

They are raising our speed! 68 on cruise and 65 on petal!

Edit - then when fuel economy drops 0.1 mpg they will drop it back /s

    Speed_Drums and tallguy66 Thank this.

Imagine FedEx freight is passing you going 66 and suddenly your dash beeps saying it finished updating and the moment he gets over you just start going around him :p

For national drivers they are raising it another .05 cents. Plus extending surge pay to next year.

Edit - so for shaffer base pay was already .61 and now after October 9th it will be .66 base and .72 max pay.

Now instead of drag racing the few people who are governed at 63/64 we will just drag race the guys going 66/67. Now we can keep up with Werner and CRST trucks.

Will see how long they will keep the speed. I imagine if fuel economy drops big across the board and/or they start seeing an increase in speeding tickets, we might lose the privilege.

    Lonesome and Speed_Drums Thank this.

Prepare thyself...the way it's always been here, they give with one hand and take something with the other. Many moons ago when we went from the load select to asset mismanagers, we got a raise, but they cut our quarterly bonus in half. Then we got something else, but they cut our speed back to 62.

With the surge pay, plus my penny raise at my anniversary(5 days after this latest raise kicks in), that's gonna put me at $0.70/mile...plus $.04 bonus.... they're making it tough to leave...even if I hate the way they do things...but $0.74/mile if I turn 29,000/quarter....I just wonder what we're gonna lose to make up for this generosity of $0.10/mile raise in the last 5 months

Feels like dirty money doesn't it? But it'll spend.
