I did finally get home last night! I changed my sig to reflect a quote I heard yesterday at a Marine's funeral, but seen again this morning on a news blog! This Marine served in Vietnam if I understand it was a "Gunny" during the Granada operation. Even after retirement stayed involved in the Toys for Tots program. There is more I could add about this man, but won't because it will kindle my anger directed toward the DoD and the USMC!

I set my alarm for 3am, which was 4 hours ago.

When I woke up, I was laying on top of my phone, which is why I never heard it.

At least I'm rested, and the breakfast sammiches ought to be ready.

I gave myself a treat this morning! I had two pieces of plain white bread toasted added peanut butter and ate them with a banana! Now I'm watching my Dexcom system as my blood sugar goes up. When I got up it was 83, now it's at 105!

I heard this song, I don’t know 6-7 years ago, and while waiting for this grainery to open, it actually came back on YouTube random, it tells a story, as many songs that have a point due, listen to the words.

A portion of the sound track to that song is actually used in the intro to a chapter of a video game that I play. The video game is called "The Long Dark" by Hinterland Studios. I'm sure that song was chosen because the mood of the music fits the solitude of the game, aswell as the title of "Keep the Wolves Away".

The game is based around a fictional catastrophic natural disaster that plunges the planet into an ice age and wipes out all electrical and most mechanical items. You play as a person stranded on a fictional northern Canadian island, after your plane crashed during the catastrophe, with very little civilization.

In the popular Survival mode of play you are the only living human soul on the island and must scrounge and/or make everything needed to survive the elements, wilderness, and wildlife of this remote northern Canadian island. The only goal to the game is survival, if you die that save file is automatically deleted and you must start all over. Its a very well thought out game, and very challenging with nearly endless levels of difficulty via cuatom playthrough settings that can make the game as easy or difficult as you can imagine.

The less popular Story mode of play is more linear and structured, as well as you encounter other humans that teach you how to survive, give you shelter, try to harm you, or are in need of your help.

The following is a video that was released by Hinterland sometime ago after one of the major updates. The footage itself shows actual gameplay that is voiced over by the main creator of the game talking about features that were new to that update. The game has been constantly updated and expanded for over 6 years now. I would HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a truly challenging survival experience. Ive probably logged close to 2000 hours of play time on this game alone over the last 4 years.

We have ESCAPED FROM THE COMMUNIST STATE after delivery and reload yesterday.

Yesterday can only be described as grueling. It was a day filled with gruel.

It went about as good as it could go until we, and a few hundred thousand others crossed paths with some dude driving an antique POS 900 that died in the third lane ( illegal ) just past this huge interchange.

This caused the hugest back up in the history of the world.

The OM was talking to The CHP on scene recommending that the moron's license be revoked, and that antique POS be towed directly to the smelter and turned into something useful like tampon dispensers used in migrant shelters.

We parked covertly at this Petro ( where the pets go ) last night.

I've gleaned nice, fresh HOT coffee, bacon, and hash browns.

    The OM is pleased.
