Now, I would never ever claim to be a Architectural Engineer but something doesn’t seem to be right here…



I wonder how many times a Driver popped off that Fire Plug before they opted to install the safety barrier around it and thus block the use of that dock.

LOL

 

Probably the same genius that built the Poly warehouse Bldg 5...they put fire hydrants in the middle of the driveway(or put the building behind the fire hydrants...not sure which came first)...then had to put big yellow poles around them to keep drivers from running them over at night...which worked for most drivers, except the yard jockies.

 

Well, my Truck has now been “upgraded” with the new side cameras…

 

I didn't know everybody was getting that crap. I thought it was only going on the new trucks? Maybe another reason to do the lease LOL

 

Then again they would probably put that garbage is on the lease trucks also, oh well

 

Nope, I guess everyone is getting them installed. I like tech so I’ll see if they add anything of value to my life OTR. So far the mirrors are still working fine. But they don’t record… lol

The screen in the cab annoys me a bit. One camera is shooting a bit higher on the horizon and they both show a bit too much of my own truck so like the middle 1/4 of the screen is just Red Truck. And at night it’s just a big white stripe down the middle when it’s using night vision mode.

But, they do show a decent amount of space on the sides. So I’ll see if I start to use and rely on them more than mirrors or if I’ll just turn off the screen and let them fall into the category of the front facing camera.

 

Does it show on the screen when Haj and that group is coming up and starts passing you all the while being inside the dotted white line? That would be great if it did, you’ll now have a few second start in making a maneuver so he doesn’t sideswipe you.

 

What flavor truck do you drive? They put them on my Freightliner a couple weeks ago and it only shows a sliver of the cab in the image. I leave mine off most of the time, especially at night, but nothing too annoying overall.
