How much experience do they want? I'm looking to get back into trucking. Want to find a good place to go after I do my time in mega carrier jail. I live in South Jersey and see their trucks in yards around my house all the time. Always heard they were good to work for.

I believe they won at least one year, but I think they will work with you. If I were you I would try for the oil tanker side. They have a good contract with ExxonMobil and loads are constantly coming out of Paulsboro going all over the US. Good miles and easy money

I live about 5 miles from paulsboro. I'm pretty close to the yard in Swedesboro. They are one of the companies I'm definitely going to try for.

Hey that's awesome! I start my virtual orientation on Monday. I'm going to run asphalt down here out of tampa. I'm definitely excited! I have read this forum a few times now making sure I'm making a good decision. I still don't see any reason to have any regrets yet.

Enjoy those new trailers! There's about 10 of them sitting at their main hub waiting to get lettered, they're gorgeous. I tried snagging one lol you'll make good money doing asphalt, especially if you're in a day cab. You should be able to haul around 26 ton

I sure enjoy hearing that! From where I'm coming from, I'm sure the worst of their equipment is better than what I've been using. I was hauling molten sulfur down here and the trailers the company has were made when i was 14-17 years old. I'm 30 now.

I'm going to be running that daycab lol. However, I wouldn't mind running a day or two out every now and then.

The good thing is, I have experience running hazmat tanks(that molten sulfur) and they were overgross(83k-87k lbs). So I get to come in at a higher rate. I haven't been this excited for a job ever...considering the last 7 years(other than the 2020-2021) I've been an OO.

That's good! As long as they can verify your tanker experience they'll start you out on a higher pay scale. I was just talking to Paul from safety yesterday and he said business is booming down there, I guess when Dillon shut down they picked up a lot of their work. They've been sending new equipment down there weekly, tractors and trailers so chances are you'll get something new

That's awesome! I ran for a competitor company from dillon running that sulfur and our workload went up but my pay went down...didn't understand how that worked lol.

New is good. New is always good. Especially if business is booming.

    How is running asphalt?
