I've been driving company solo for a couple of years on the reefer side. No one has said anything about eliminating solo drivers that I've heard.

Yes and know. The days are long but I have loved learning.
It was much more of a challenge than I thought it would be!
I am going through Roadmaster in Columbus Ohio.
The instructors are excellent.
I take my test tomorrow. I did great in practice today.
Just hope I do not have a brain crap and screw up.
If I do, I will just take it again next week!
Happy New Year! -
Okay... need input from a company driver on this...
The friend of mine who drives for Prime's reefer division was trained by a lease-operator. The l/o told him that the driver is charged for any damage to freight in transit.
Fender is now a solo company driver... and this week delivered a load of potatoes in which it was discovered two boxes contained within the pallets were damaged. The potatoes were fine, but the boxes were damaged. A claim was filed with Prime for the two boxes.
Now, Fender is convinced that the cost of these two boxes of potatoes will be deducted from his next paycheck.
Is this true??? Don't companies carry cargo insurance for this purpose???
