From what ive been told by dispatch is that act raised the price so high that they couldnt afford it so they terminated the lease and switched over to ATS. All of our stuff has to be out of act by dec 1st which i think it already is. Act was a hell of alot nicer, not a fan of ats

They were talking about it at the Safety Meeting this morning. As mentioned above, costs kept rising so they opted to change. I’ll be taking a load from Kawasaki there on Sunday so I’ll get to find it for the first time too. Looks easy to get to from I70.

Its very easy to get too. Exit 7B off hwy 70 and turn left (travelung westbound) or right (coming eastbound) and go doen about 1 mile and its on the right. MAKE SURE you have the alarm system disarmed (should be disarmed because its got issues), the fence is electric so make sure to not touch it. Theres a telephone pole right in the middle of the gate entry so swing it out. Highly consider going in there during the day, a night driver had a ton of issues last night with drug addicts and theres not a single light on the property. The main entrwnce to both stadiums sits right in front of the drop lot, so id say between the major safety hazards, the rough area and the major traffic issues during sports seasons, i doubt were at that property for long, already got drivers refusing to go back there

Fortunately when I went in the gate was already open, looked like there were Vehicles over by the office. I guess it must be left open during the daytime? Sounds like a pain in the butt at night

Too bad about ACT, that was a pretty nice place. Good place to spend the night too

Yeah, was definately a nice property. I understand FCC side of it, gotta make smart financial and business decisions, hopefully they realize they can do better then what they ended up with, i was told today every driver thats been there has complained. I talked to the local guys today, they left in open because they were constantly in and out for a bit, but its supposed to stay closed and locked per ATS. He did tell me someone at the property instructed us to leave the alarm alone due to it malfunctioning. I had to get ahold of disparch on thanksgiving because every time i armed the system it triggered the alarm so i just locked the gate up and left. I did tell dispatch today the fact that they have a electric fence and an alarm system should give you a hint as to why you got such a nice deal lol

I guess the best way to stabilize future costs would be to buy their own property, that way the next surge in inflation, the lease/rent costs remain the same...$0. The only cost that'll rise is the property tax as the value of the prooerty increases.
