So I just got a email today about Bison Transport is going to be buying Hartt. So should I and other drivers at Hartt be worried? I don't know that much about Bison other than Canadian company![]()

Don't jump ship on impulse. Wait and give it a chance before making a major decision.

Bison was privately owned, good safe company. Really strict on following rules and procedures.
About a year ago they were bought out by another family that owns Richardson Pioneer. It’s an agricultural company that owns many elevators across Canada.
Since then Bisons safety first atmosphere seems to have taken a nose dive.Another Canadian driver and Lonesome Thank this. -
Bison bought HO Wolding out of WI a couple years ago. They also own Britton Transport. Both of those companies are still known by their original names.

Wow! I grew up with Billy Hartt’s nephew and knew the old man, Del, that started it. I hope this works out for everyone involved, from Billy down to the janitors.

Company I been working at past 24 years been sold a few times, nothing ever changed, as long as they still making money.
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
After the new year all Britton trucks are being rebadged as Bison USA trucks and Britton is being essentially dissolved under HO Woldings DOT numbers. There’s been a few changes since the buy, but there has really been a lot of changes happening in the last couple months. Not sure how I’ll like being part of the 2nd largest Canadian trucking company… we’ll see how it goes. Bison is testing a pair of platooning/autonomous trucks in Canada this winter for Embark. They even named the trucks… so, there’s that…
