Woke up at 1 am local time, freezing my ### off. The bunk heater on this Junk-liner decided to quit working out of the blue. And, of course, the Einsteins that run this company have the truck set up so it won't idle past 3 minutes no matter what you do to the throttle or releasing the brakes, and there is no motel anywhere around here.(the TA in Mill City is remodeling). So, now I get very little sleep, deliver, then will most likely have to go to Freightliner. Let's just say, I hope the next big storm wipes out the power grid in Lincoln, and all the senior management's houses are without power to run their heaters, so they can experience what it's like to be a driver for them with their junk equipment.

I am about to get pissed off enough to have a bonfire. At least I'll be warm until the fire department gets here and puts it out.

Mine hasn't worked for months. It's been in the shop 7 times since September. Every time it comes out, it works for 2 days then quits. They CLAIM they've replaced the batteries, the fuel pump, the igniter and wiring but still won't work. Luckily I've been staying south but I'm waiting to get run north. Stocked up on heavy blankets but they still gotta get this thing fixed

I'd request a motel every night. When it starts costing them $100-125+ every night, it's funny how fast they figure out the problem.

I saw a video of a device a guy rigged to press the overide engine shutoff button on a timer.

Even with the updates you can keep on pressing the button without it causing a fit or stop working.

The bunk heater is this blue truck I got always starts up no matter how cold it is however the moment it hits temp is goes into some low power mode and slows the fan to the point you cant even tell its on. So it eventually starts getting cold and only remedy is to turn it off and back on to reset it.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Thought about buying a small windshield wiper motor that has intermittent built in...and a stick to the throttle pedal. Plug it in to a 12v outlet and every 15-20 seconds it oscillates and taps the throttle...or buy a small propane tent heater and crack a window. I already have a working CO detector. Fire it up and go to sleep.

Just got off the phone with breakdown. They said that the bunk heater has to be fixed at a company shop. Closest is SLC, so I am in a hotel until they get me thru there.

Oh, and I tried to get a truck/trailer washed today at the Fernley Beacon (my truck was white from all the salt in KY and IN last week)...it was denied, twice. Ended up paying cash for it...will get with Deland about getting my money back.
