Afternoon folks, considering getting my class A, but hesitant to waste my time.
I have a couple of minor accidents from about a year and a half ago that are both at fault, both involving a screaming girlfriend distracting me, that do not show up on my MVR.
One, I rear ended someone at low speed. No record of that. I WAS ticketed for improper backing with one of the collisions and ONLY the citation shows up on my mvr. I also have a couple of speeding tickets from around the same time that do show up, for 10 and 15 over which hits my license for a total 5 points.
Learned my lesson and got rid of the stressors in life and quit speeding.
The state of North Carolina which I reside in offers a voluntary point removal clinic which will remove 3 of those points from my license.
Will I be able to get hired anywhere with this kind of record after I remove those points? Maybe on the oil fields?
Appreciate yall.
Would I be able to get hired with this driving record?

You'll have to attend a cdl school first.
The state probably pay for it through the WIOA Program.
Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Unified State ...

North Carolina Goodwill also might pay for it.

I forgot to mention that my license was suspended after the 15 mph speeding ticket because I moved and couldn't show up to the mandatory court appearance.
The 15 mph is for 3 points, so I'm assuming that's what they'll take off, but I'm not sure if the suspension will get taken off, or how that will affect my hiring possibilities as well.
Would I have a good chance at getting into an oil patch as a noob?
And should I keep this information to myself seeing as it doesn't show up on my record?austinmike Thanks this. -
The license suspension will be a problem.
Many companies are forgiving if the license suspension is for letting car insurance expire or failure to pay child support.
Get your cdl first though. -
