If you are interested at all, I have noticed that some soles wear faster than others. Dr Marten's seems to have some type of special rubber that wears more slowely than what you would find other places.

I don't know if you have tried Dr Martens yet, but their undersides seems to be able to withstand a lot of abuse. I don't really appreciate the look, but I can't argue with the quality.

    And that is the point.

The question really isn't about someone's weight it's about if they look like they are a professional person or if they look like they are a lazy slob.

Weight does not give you a lack of professionalism. How you dress and how you carry yourself and your demeanor does.

I didn’t think we could sink any lower than flip-flops, but I guess I was wrong. Technically it’s illegal to drive barefoot. Not to mention just stupid. Now I do believe in personally wearing footwear that I can feel the pedals really well with. I used to drive with a steel toed boot on and you just can’t feel things as well that way. But barefoot? No thanks.

My right boot does that. Guy that makes my boots says its from driving so much with foot on the peddle and turned slightly bowlegged.

Is it illegal to drive barefoot? I've seen plenty claim it, but I've yet to see a regulation.

As I've stated before, I wear boots most time that I'm driving.

My dad told me if I drive in socks he'd disown me. The ole Carolinas keep me cozy 600+ miles a day. Blow the floor off with air before I crawl in the bunk and it's good as new

I have only read about 5 posts in this thread... but the title alone tells the story of what has become of the trucking industry.
