Well...picked up the only air-ride trailer at the Moberly Wally D/C. Did a quick walk around and cleanliness check...typical walmart pallet crushing contest was held in it as usual. However, I didn't see the 2 nails that were sticking thru the sidewall of one of the outside tires until I was at the gate. So, I went a little out of route to the Love's in Bevier, MO and had it replaced, then I spent 20 minutes cleaning it out (no trailer washouts in between or close to my shipper in Macon, MO. ) Got it acceptably clean and headed to the shipper. If anyone ever goes to the Conagra in Macon, MO. DO NOT follow the directions in the computer, follow them to the front of the shipper, then there is a truck route you have to follow that leads you way out and around, but once you get to the place, you'll see why. Only 2 trucks can fit on their dead end alley, and you can't turn around once you're to the end. The truck route leads you to the next block before their entrance where there is enough room to curb park more trucks. And when it's your turn to load, you bring your trailer down the alley and into their gate, then drop and bobtail out to a small parking area just outside the gate. The yard truck puts it in a door, and brings it back out to the alley in front of the bobtails. Nice enough people, and fairly quick loading...just a tight place to pick up. One of those super stretched extended hood Pete's was dropping his trailer as I was hooking to mine...he had to do about a 5-point turn to get turned around after he dropped his spread axle reefer just to get out of their loading area.
