How do most companies calculate mileage? I've just began to notice how much of a difference there is between what the dispatch says the trip is and what the GPS says. Sometimes is a 10% difference!

At my place, we figure actual mileage, then pay the driver for half of them. It's my bosses attitude that you need to keep a driver hungry, otherwise they want off 2 days a month.

I'm hoping for a raise in the next few years. I've only been here 18 years, but I've been told the 20 year guys get a 2cpm raise. I'll be making bank at .36

Man. You are ROLLING in it. I'd ask for the company's name, but I'm kind of intimidated.

That’s probably only about $5k a yr. per Driver. Its a shame the Company has to make their profits off the Drivers paycheck.

Household mover guide, they always took 10% cause basically you’re paid zip code to zip code, not paid the 50 miles across Chicago nor the other big cities.

unless you’re working for ‘paid hub miles’ company such as poly trucking.

You'll really save money if you eat 4 for $4 at Wendy's every day. By doing that, it'll look more like you made 40 cpm

I get a comparison for every pay period. This was for 5,911 miles.
