Kroger got me in early and out fast. Downside is I'm now doing a 34 reset at our terminal since trucks stops don't seem safe if they have to have armed guards in the store.

Reminds me when I parked for a quick break at a truck stop in Atlanta and then had a guard which what looked like a fully automatic rifle guarding the lot.

    Lonesome and mdmgolfin Thank this.

Probably going to be a non compliant fuel stop here… I don’t even care. The fuel routing has so annoying lately

F that...they want 2 transactions, do 2 transactions, get 2 showers. Stop the pump at 60 gal on just truck fuel then restart and top everything off. If anyone says anything, tell them you were sticking to the mandatory fuel solution as ordered by the VP of propaganda.

    Not gonna happen.

When you get tractor fuel, once the transaction is complete, the card goes into a 2h "cool down" where no tractor fuel can be purchased without contacting the fuel department for a manual reset. He would either have to wait out the 2h limit or call and risk the dehumanizing chew out from the fuel dept.

I've used mine within 2 hours without issue before...and if they tried to chew me out for following High Commands Fuel Nazi's orders, then they'd get a rather rude responses from a disgruntled employee. I cut these idiots 0 slack anymore. I am about to the point where I am gonna start sending in semi-hourly reminders to them about doing the majority of the tasks of their jobs like they send us with every dispatched load.

Nope, with the idiots on the roads today, not really something I'd really feel comfortable doing.

We can file this under the why waste time planning anything heading. Thursday I turned down a 1002 mile load because it was a 3+ day run. Pickup Friday, deliver Monday around mid-day. So, they put me on this 650 mile, pick up Friday, deliver Saturday load, followed by a 700 mile, pick up Saturday afternoon, deliver before dawn Monday load...1350 miles in less time. So I time shutting down last night, and departing this morning based on that next preplan. Then, while I am outside fueling 90 miles from delivering the 1st load, they call and want to take me off of the 700 mile Monday load, and put me on a 550 Sunday night load (that I will use almost all if my hours to run, and have to take a break, then it'll be Monday before I am available anyway). Why do I waste my time planning anything. This place is just a larger version of Big G, with different colored trucks and no APU's.
