A chrome shop from what I understand is what they’re building

 

Yup big chrome shop. I think that Petro is owned by Iowa80 Group so they'll make a huge shop like Joplin, Walcott and Kenly. The convenience store gals keep pushing everyone who wants a sit down meal to the Quaker Steak dump they built next door.

Total shame they ripped everything up... but then again, it's even more of a shame that Petro ripped out the original Whites restaurant after Mr. White passed on and the family couldn't sell the truckstop off fast enough.

 

At least they finally figured it out instead of just blaming the drivers over and over...

 

Looked at my pay and noticed something odd this statement. They didn't deduct anything for my benefits. Wonder if payroll software made a mistake?

 

I80 through Nebraska was an ice ring. Right past Lincoln the snow stopped and the road cleared but 50 miles further road turns completely reflective and trucks/cars were going off road. We lost one of ours on a 8 ft embankment drop. Was hauling a Walmart reefer and heading west on i80 so most likely empty returning to North Plat. Even when going 30 mph I was sliding all over the place in that section of road.

Made it to the Boss truck stop in Grand Island and parked. Hope all you guys made it through ok.

 

On months with 5 pay dates, they don't take anything but taxes out of the 5th payroll.

 

There are 5 Thursdays this month, benefits are only deducted on 4.

 

Crete is a 100% debt free company...privately owned by Acklie - Ostergard family...they have no reason or need to sell out

 

Thats the perfect scenario for a sale. Although we aren’t as big as Crete, we were debt free and privately owned. The owners put the word out and March of ‘18 we were bought out by Knight/Swift Holdings for the tune of $95 million.
