About what Heartland Express paid for Gordon a few years ago while I was there. The long time drivers were in shock that the Gordon family bailed out on them...LOL 95 Million is a really good reason to retire......

Speaking of decent money, I am at home on a workmans comp injury. Took a spill out of my truck on the 19th in lovely Detroit Michigan.
It got progressivly worse and now my lower back is toast......getting old is not for sissies!!

Get well soon. But the again, if the money is right, enjoy the time off.

I doubt that Swift/Knight could afford what the Acklie family would name as the price. We have around 5000 power units, 2 or 3 trailers per power unit and a lot of terminals, some of which have been recently updated and expanded...I would venture a guess that the price would be in the high 9 digit or low 10 digit neighborhood. Besides, if they sold it, Winston would be out of a job...

You can never tell. They bought AAA Cooper last year for $1.2 billion, cash.

Only a few days till I take my HazMat. I passed the new HazMat theory test without issue. Decided to take it without studying to test what I remembered and scored over 80% on all 140 known Texas hazmat questions. A lot of questions are just common sense yet it showed how many people picked the wrong ones and some seem like people did it on purpose.

Example: Why must you placard your vehicle when hauling hazmat material?

Correct answer - To display the risk to the public.

Answer picked 2nd - Cause it looks cool....
