When I fell out with Big G, I was at the Shelbyville terminal. I just called my wife and told her to come get me.

If you have really had enough. Can you get your wife to meet you in Marietta? That's what I would likely do if I was done.

But hopefully you can just work out a notice and then take the truck to DeLand.

 

Twice I worked out notices and took the truck back to DeLand after getting empty in Florida.

Once I quit on the spot in New Kingston after the CPAP fiasco. My wife was with me so we just rented a car and drove home.

 

If that day ever comes, just know that one way rental cars don’t exist anymore. It’s Penske or Uhaul.

Yep, over that past year I’d thought of changing situations fairly regularly and tried many times testing availability. Not once was a car available for one way. Multiple starting and ending points. I’ve been told the same by employers as well.

 

Last one way rental I was able to get was December 2020. It was with Dollar rent a car. Only one that would do it. They are the Greyhound of car rental companies. Got to see the same type of people renting cars that ride the buses. Of course it was chaos.

 

Heck I’ll drive to Florida and get you home after this fiasco!!

 

The problem started when Covid caused the rental companies to offload cars to stay afloat due to most people hiding at the house not renting. Now they can’t replace them, apparently.
